Ashley Collins
Light.
It seems
a very simple thing – yet in our souls, we know it is not so.
There are
those that bring light into our heart, that make it change for the better. There are those that lead the way, as if
their torch was indestructible.
There are
those that fend off the darkness of difficulties, and render our lives easier.
And
sometimes it is we ourselves that are the light to others, sacrificing all out
of something inside that knows no limits.
In our
current usage a single Lumin is that amount of light from a single candle.
Think how
bright a single candle is on a dark
night. For Collins, it is the light of a
single star that shines upon us, and as the night darkens, we become aware of
the millions of stars that shine their light…. That we are in fact surrounded
by goodness that we often fail to see.
That
bears repeating. We are in fact
surrounded by goodness that we often fail to see.
Our
challenge, or gift, as we navigate our journey is to not only choose what light
guides us, but also to open our heart so that we are able to see all the light
which is bestowed by others, falling upon our shoulders and our hearts.
For we
are each brilliantly Luminous.
